Birchwood Packhouse is a niche post harvest operation which is dedicated to the quality packing and cool storage of kiwifruit and avocados.

Located just minutes south of Katikati and in the heart of prime orcharding country, Birchwood is a flourishing grower co-operative providing superior, cost-effective services to our growers. An efficient, experienced management team gives you immediate access to the resources you need. Our general manager and the majority of directors are active orchardists – growers are never treated as just a number.

Having undertaken a major expansion in 2008 Birchwood has committed to a long-term presence in the industry. Rather than having satellite operations, we have extended our Rea Road site, including state-of-the-art new cool stores, enabling us to pack and cool our entire crop under one roof.

Whilst operating in a professional and transparent manner, Birchwood maintains a friendly, almost family-like atmosphere. The team has a depth of knowledge that covers a wide range of management, orchard and industry issues – and we look forward to working with you.
